[Animator vs. Animation II]

A miraculous piece of work

I'm glad to see that you incorporated much more into the animation this time around. Instead of staying in the Flash screen you moved onto the desktop which I found very entertaining. Bringing other icons into the fight was a clever idea and the AIM guy vs. the Chosen One was a great fight.

The animation itself was very well done and I would like to emphasize the said adverb. The animation was smooth and looked excellent. The sound fit the work quite well and I don't think music was needed. Simple sounds from the various programs worked well enough. I found this especially amusing because our desktops are nearly identical. I have the same background and programs including the avast! virus scanner. For that, I found an extra sense of enjoyment because it seemed like it was happening on my own computer!

All in all, great work. While I am not a great fan of sequels, I do think this ranks up with your first Animator vs. Animation installment. You added in plenty of features which kept the originality and plain fun in the animation. Great job and keep up the excellent work!

[New Numa]

I'm disappointed

I think the fame finally got to you, or something. Numa Numa is just one of those things that has it's time, and the time it has is a finite amount. This lacked the energy, the originality, and just about everything the first one had. Numa was a one time thing and true fans should have known that, not pressured you for another one. Another thing, the song sucked. Video editing was good, but I liked the simplicity of the first.

Sorry, but this just doesn't fly with me.

[Strange Days]

Very cool

That was probably the best done incorperation of Flash and real time video. It was very original and had a good flow to the "story" that existed in the film. The graphics, although most were lines or just video, were not very expressive in themselves, but they were put together nicely and fit very well. The single thing I did not like about this was that some of the transitions between holding a Flash line in your hand and holding a physical object were very blatent and could be easily seen. If I were you, I would have just animated all the lines and not used any live action objects. Other than that, I have no complaints.

This was very well done and one of the coolest live action + animation Flashes I have seen in a long time. It reminds me of Harold and the Purple Crayon. Nice work!

[Oso part two]

Good, with obvious influence

This was definitely interesting to watch, even though it was completely lacking of story. It really is just a short film that delves into the idea of "completely random creepy stuff." I did enjoy it, and next I think I'll go watch part one.

This had obvious influence from Salad Fingers. The wavy texts and outlines, the graphic style, and just the ambience of the atmosphere created in the film are very reminiscent of the style brought along by Salad Fingers. This isn't the most original thing I have seen and I would definitely score it higher if there was a coherant plot of some kind, whether it is deeply developed or not. All in all, however, this was done well and I'm looking forward to seeing more animations from you. Nice work!

[the YuYu]

Great, but a bit of a let down

I thought it was quite good. The animation was amazing, as was the overall artistic rendering of everything. The smoke effects and fast paced animation were very well done. I also think the music, with a bit of a Celtic tone fit the animation very well.

However, for one thing there just was not enough depth to the movie. I was disappointed when it ended. I really expected to see more, noting at how what I saw was only a few minutes in length. Some sound effects would have been real nice too. There was no noise of wind, grass moving, landing on the ground, or anything of the sort. The music was the only sound in the clip and I hardly feel that it was enough to really make the world you want to portray stand out.

This was still an amazing piece of work and you definitely showed off your animation skills. I think this falls short of the achievments of littleFoot in that it lacks story or any sense of environmental aesthetics. A few sounds effects and maybe some more time put into a story rather than just a bunch of fast paced shots would have been nice.

Beatiful

Simply put, the best artwork I have seen so far. Your detail in the plants, lighting, water, and everything in the entire animation was just astounding. I also liked the effect of montage you used instead of having many straight shots, but I know that is nothing new to your work. This is definitely going in my favorites. Usually I elaborate a lot on reviews, but you don't need to improve on anything.

By far, your best best work.

[A History Project]

I thought it was pretty good

Although I felt it was somewhat lacking on the actual history portion (I'm not sure how in depth you had to make it), I found the Madness style figures along with "Tequila" to be quite entertaining. Too bad I did not discover Flash until later Junior year. I could have done some cool projects like this back in the day. Nice work! I hope you have more projects like this I can watch in the future.

It is dark... that shall it take over thy. I know what the sun is? But do I.... only more. None to see. None to feel. None to live. The sun, I know now... is none.
